Grant Funding for Fire Inspector Training
All Fire Inspector training offered by Fire In Texas is eligible for grant funding under House Bill 2604 or TIFMAS. Members of volunteer or combination fire departments may be eligible for full or partial tuition reimbursement, depending on their enrolled Fire Inspector class. Paid departments can also benefit from training reimbursement under the TIFMAS grant.
Contact us, or the Texas Forest Service at (979) 458-6505, to check your department’s eligibility.
Next Steps
Upon successfully finishing our Fire Inspector training program and passing the state exam, students earn their state certification as a Basic Fire Inspector. This certification also makes them eligible for IFSAC seals as Fire Inspector I and II.
No Travel Expenses
Ask us about an MOU, which allows a student to do their skills session at their own department without traveling. The TCFP and/or Fire In Texas may audit the skill session.
